?? about stock tweeter crossover
So I am replacing the junk speakers in my non Sony 2014 XLT Screw. I currently have drivers door and tweeter busted, and decided against warrenty replacement as they will use the same junk (drivers tweeter was changed under warrently 3 months ago).
I have 2 way Rockford Fosgate R168X2 ordered for front and rear door speakers and Pioneer TS-T110 tweeters ordered.
The tweeters come with inline crossovers installed already. I assume there is a stock crossover somewhere. I have taken the pillars off and followed the wire down to where it plugs in near the access panel in outer dash, from there it disappears into a loom, but I dont see a crossover anywhere. Ive also read that the head unit has the crossover built in.....
My question is, do I use the crossovers that come with the new tweeters or rely on head unit crossover? Thanks for any ideas or info. I have not intention of adding amps or anything beyond trying to get decent speakers that the factory radio wont bust.

Thank you for replying! Ive looked at a wiring diagram and it doesnt show one. Ive searched it on several sites and have come up with everything from a crossover in the A Pillar on the wiring for the tweeter (probably Sony system, Ive had mine apart and didnt see any), to its crossed in the head unit, then there is a capacitor inline with speaker wiring in the door.
Ive traced the wiring until it goes into a big loom in the access panel in the dash. Didnt see anything besides wires. I will look tomorrow when the door speakers arrive and I have it apart if its on the speaker wiring.
My other plan is to hook one of the woofers up to the tweeter wiring and see if there is full range going to the tweeter, if their is I will use the crossover supplied on the new tweeters, if not I will cut them off and use as is.

I just saw this, I ended up taking them off.
What is did was hook up a woofer to the tweeter wiring to see if it received full range. It was only getting highs so I took the crossovers off. I doubt I'll have a problem blowing one, but if I do they were only $30 and I'll probably just unplug them as the door speakers I installed have tweeters already.
I did the swap today and I have to note, I should have done this when I bought the truck a year ago. I never realized how horrible the factory speakers were. Everything is so crisp and clear now.
