My 94 Explorer has now been causing me all kinds of problems. The newest problem, which has been going on for a while now is that every time I am stopped at a traffic light/stop sign/drive thru the truck feels like it is bouncing and wanting to continue to be driven, it has a chugging feeling and sounds like it is ready to stall. It has not staled yet (thank god) Does anyone have any idea what my problem is???????
My '97 explorer does the exact same thing. I just bought it about 3 weeks ago, and it did great for the first two weeks. Then the 3rd week came around, and my confidence is dwindling. I haven't given up hope, but I going to keep bugging all the great advisors on this forum until I have the machine that I thought I was buying.
I thought maybe it was because it is driven daily on the highway. I commute everyday to work and it only happens when I'm in town after it has been going down the highway at highway speed. Once I leave work and head back out of town its fine because it has sat in the parking lot for a while. I wonder if it has something to do with being used for highway use and not stop and go use as needed in town ????????
go to autozone or advance autoparts they can pull them for free, as long as the check engine light is on at the time you get there....so when u get there dont shut the truck off till they say so....
