6.0 powerstroke problems

I have been experiencing problems with my 2003 6.0 powerstroke engine. the vehicle has 4300 miles on it. When I stop at a stoplight after driving for 5 miles it lugs and chugs for approx. 5 seconds before taking off. It is at the dealership right now and was diagnosed as a faulty EGR valve. Does that sound correct?
