I purchased a TBC from my local Ford dealer, went to install it ran it an issue.

Apparently there needs to be an adapter between the TBC receptacle and the harness connector, can any confirm this? The connector does not contain the pins in the same alignment as the TBC receptacle.

OK, I found the issue.

The part on the connector is a cover... How dumb is that.

 

Yep....until I stood on my head to see things, I was wondering what was going on with the plug.

 

Are you added a stock controller? This is one of the "must haves" on my new truck wish list. If it's plug and play then I can consider trucks that don't have it. Although I'm not sure why it's not standard on trucks with the tow package...

 

Glad you got that worked out; that cap fooled me for a minute too; being middle-aged my eyes don't work as well as they used too!

This should be standard on all trucks with tow packages; I agree TheNewman.
