So I got out today and spent some quality time with Monty..haha:
A while back I pulled the muffler, but the pipe section ended right at the back of the cab. So I bought a 31" muffler delete pipe. Used the old muffler clamp and some coat hanger, and now it stops at the front of the spring hanger.
The 3" DP would occassionally rattle and buzz against the firewall. So I pull the right front body mount bolt, lifted the cab and put about 3/8" of washer between the mount and the body. Problem solved.
It was time for batteries, so it got two new ones.
Just wired them into the reverse wire for the 7 pin and grounded to the 7 pin mount
The bumper had large holes (for trailer safety chains??). I just put some washers and it bolted right up.
I'm close to the garage, so the right of the pic is shadowed, but the fence on the left of the pic is about 30-35' back from me
I added 5" spot mirros.
Usually I have OCD bad. But I work offshore and money is tight, plus, to be honest, this isn't my favorite truck, so the theme is CHEAP. So please don't hate on the red neck engineering. haha. All in all.... a pleasant afternoon tinkering in the garage. Next up, door hinge pins and maybe the TC lock up switch.
Yeah, never cared for the blue or red interior. And yes they a bitch to park in parking lots but well worth it
Glad to hear I'm not the only one who thinks they are hard to park. I drive a 24ft flatbed straight truck with a moffett attached for a living and I struggle to park my extended cab long bed in parking lots. I thought I was just a bad driver.

You're flat probably has about 10 deg more turn. on the front wheels. *My CCLB is 21' 6" from grill gaurd to back bumper, and nearly 14' wheel base. *Heck, you're flat may have a shorter wheel base..lol.

Specially in the grocery parking lots where the parking slots are straight with each other = = instead like this \\ I always try to park in reverse its always easier to get out.
