1994 f150 4.9L 300 - Performance spark plug wires vs. regular spark plug wires?
I am getting ready to replace the spark plugs and spark plug wires on my truck. I am curious as to whether or not purchasing "performance" spark plug wires will be notably different from non-performance spark plug wires.
I have a very hard time finding parts for my truck to begin with, and so far have only found three different kinds of spark plug wires period, two of which are Taylor brand, the third being Motorcraft.
The Taylor brand Thunder Volt 8.2mm performance spark plug wires seem to have postive reviews on the Summit Racing website. These also say that they have 50 OHMs of resistance per square foot.
The other Taylor brand option are "Streetthunder" spark plug wires, which are about $18 cheaper on SFX, but have no reviews.
And lastly Motorcraft spark plug wires, which also have no reviews.
So, are Taylor Thunder Volt wires the way to go? Or should I go with cheaper Motorcraft wires?
