Spark plug wires

Can anyone tell me the right way to test spark plug wires with an voltmeter? Its been some time since I last did it and cant remember the what resistance is acceptable. As always thanks in advance.:-X11

Spark plug wires

Set your voltmeter to Ohms ( the horseshoe shaped symbol)
place a probe on each end of the plug wire
number should be very close to zero

the resistance can be good but the insulation can be breaking down and causeing leakage.

Spark plug wires

Keep in mind the best on the market are rated at 150 ohms per foot. I've tested "stock" type wires that had a total resistance reading of over 1000 and they were operating fine. Just a little FYI. Regards.
