U joint replacement

Recently read a post about ujoint replacement and lubing up the spline yoke. I want to do this to try and fix this vibration issue but cant find the thread. Can anyone help. Was wondering what ujoints are recomended by you folks. Thanks! Billy

For u joints go with spicer. If you change to the greasable ones, you will need to get the driveshaft rebalanced.

I don't think any shops around here balance drive shafts I'll have to look into that. So aftermarket is better than stock?

Dana/Spicer should be stock. I'm sure there is just a choice from Dave's post. ANY drive line shop will ballance D/Shafts. You might have to look at a larger truck or specialty shop though.

Like said, Spicer is what comes stock. A lot of places don't carry them, but IMO, Spicer is one of the best u joints to run. I've ran a lot of different brands over the yrs and Spicers seem to hold up the best.
