Eh...it's getting 'bout that time, mine are worn out, I can feel the slack in the driveline at times.
Where did you guys who have done it before get your replacement joints from, how much were they, and what do I need to watch out for when replacing them?
Have you actually crawled under there and inspected for loose u-joints or is this an assumption. Because I'd expect what's probably going on is that after a zillion miles you've got more backlash in the rearend than when it was new and this is the cause of the looseness.
*This could be a good time to consider jettisoning your current granny gears in favor of numerically higher ones .
