Interior color match help!

Hello all, I'm looking for touch up paint for the 06 navigator. The color I'm looking for is medium satin nickel I have found this product
http://www.amazon.com/ColorBond-536-Leather-Plastic-Refinisher/dp/B00G6IV5KY?th=1&psc=1 http://www.amazon.com/ColorBond-536-Leather-Plastic-Refinisher/dp/B00G6IV5KY?th=1&psc=1
just wondering if it's the same match for my navigator? It said ford Satin nickel, is it the same color?
I really want to get rid of some scuffs around the navigation and the drivers door armrest

The link you provided states, "ColorBond (536) Ford Med Satin Nickel". And you want Medium Satin Nickel. Aren't these the same?

If you buy this and use it would you post your result?

Sorry I am not sure I can help you with the color matching. I am pretty sure the color code given in the link will not match the color code for your truck.

With that said you are risking $25 in ordering it. (I have had many bar bills bigger than that) Then you could shoot it on something and compare it to your truck.

Actually the title of the listings says, "ColorBond (536) Ford Med Satin Nickel" so I'm not sure why you would doubt it, or ask us if we doubt when we can't even see the color of the product or your interior?

I added the (original and blown up sizes) swatch from ColorBond for the 536 Ford Med Satin Nickel, so how does it look to you?

I have the same interior in my Navigator. (Well the seats and plastic are Dove Gray however the hard plastic trim is the same)

It appears the same. However as paint goes, one can achieve a different shade with temperature or humidity. Plus sun fade can make a difference as well on a 10 year old interior.

sometimes its easier and less expensive to look for junkyard replacements that are in good shape........too many variables in getting the touch up paint to look just right

Sorry it took so long but I finally painted the trim pieces on the driver side door.BEFORE

AFTER

BTW the previous owner thought you could remove the controls with just a flat head.
I guess color bond was a match I'm going to tackle the center bezel next!

Very nice. Did you clear coat them to help prevent the color from wearing off too soon again?

Hi 5.4T. Sorry to resurrect an old thread but I'm planning on getting Some Colorbond 536 for an 06 Navigator I bought a few weeks ago. As you can Imagine pretty much all of the Satin Nickel could use a repaint. Just few questions. How has it help up since you did yours about a year ago? What did you do for prep? Adhesion promoter? Degreaser? Did you clear coat after? How far will a 12oz can go? I'm planning on doing the cup holders, center bezel and inside door pieces.

I've scoured the internet and I'm a little supersized at how little info I can find on repainting interior pieces. Ford/Lincoln seemed to use this color in a lot of vehicles.

honestly I just used some mr.clean magic eraser first. Then I washed it with dish soap and that's it lol. It was more of a test run really but to my surprise it came out looking just like factory and it still holding up! I didn't use clear coat because in the past I had to repaint a panel on another vehicle and after I applied clearcoat, it did not match up. As for the can, it will last you! I did the driver side controls and center console/bezel. I will redo the bezel as I didn't apply enough paint near the navigator letters but it will have to wait till it warms back up.
