Dual function guages w/ warning
I was about to post this in my build thread but figured it deserved its own thread. I'm sure I am not the only person who would be intrigued to run two gauges in one!
So I was thinking about getting some gauges from here based on a link I found on the forum.
Round Automobile Multimeter, 2 1/16'' (52 mm) [SYL-1813-MR] - $69.50 : auberins.com, Temperature control solutions for home and industry
But now I just found these
MTX Digital Series "Dual Function" Gauges
And am more interested, because I can do a oil pressure/temp in one and still have warning !
Has anyone ever heard of these guys?

i'm thinking about using one of these ..
actually i already have a spare in a junk f-100 ..
gonna pick up a stock OP gauge from a junkyard cluster ..
gut the internals ..
also gut the internals of the aftermarket mechanical gauge ..
swap out to for new function while retaining the stock gauge location ..
use copper hard pressure lines instead of the plastic ones ..
and retain the stock sender wiring but only leave it connected for the ENGINE light ..
after thinking about the stock analog gauge .. i think i would prefer a mechanical unit .. but i like the stock instrument cluster uncluttered .. just a preference .. those new digi's do look nice though

yeah I really like the idea of having warnings in my gauges, I want it to be fool proof. I figure If I spend thousands rebuilding the truck, its just a nice insurance, if something goes wrong I WANT to know. Also I like the idea that I can get two readings on just one gauge.
