I have a 2003 ford ex, 4x4 6L. I am in the middle of swapping out the front springs to V codes. I was able to get the passenger side done with no issues.
However, on the drivers side, the front drive shaft is in the way of the rear spring bolt. I was able to get it out with no trouble by lifting the axle.
So.... my questions are...
What is the proper way to get the spring bolt back in the same direction it came out?
Is it okay (safe) to flip the direction of the spring bolt when I put the leaf spring back in?
Yeah you have to turn the bolt around where you can back it out without running into the shaft. My first one had every conceivable bolt turned around in the opposite direction it should have been.
