Spring attachment

Is the front spring attach point a stud or an actual bolt?

Will I have to worry about it spinning when I pull the axle from the '72?

It's a bolt. You may have to cut the bolt on either side of the spring to get it out.

So there's no actual way to get to the back side?

Maybe I'll get lucky and it'll stay in place.

Should be able to reach an end wrench between the coils. If it doesn't spin without being held it's not coming out.

Sorry, I was thinking leaf springs. Are you talking about the bottom of the coil? That's a bolt, also hold the radius arm to the I-beam. Usually, they rust solid and snap. To get the nut off the top of it, you may be able to fit a breaker bar in between the coils, or a wrench doubled up.

they're leaves its a '72 F-250.

I'm still trying to get the leaves off of the front axle (i hate rust) so the rear is there, Its gotta be on a trailer before the rear axle comes out.
