I'm with you on the naming. Both of my trucks have names, and even a personality, yup, personality.
The 79 is Ka'Bluey, and the 2011 is Bear.

I also agree on naming your truck. Mine's been called "The Pumpkin" for as long as I've owned it. It was an obvious choice because it was an orange '73 Explorer, although, after the resto-mod is finished, it would probably more appropriate to rename it "Empty Pockets".

Anyone who can publicly apologize as you just have, instead of just disappearing or taking on a new identity and hiding the past, gets a measure of respect from me. Increasing that respect must be earned, however. You have taken a good first step. Now start a new thread and post some pics of that "bad a$$" truck!

Right on, Bruce! You said it all right there! Totally agree!

Welcome to FTE, coopdog76!

Lol..that's awesome. My wife calls my 75 explorer..orangie.
My best friend calls it the orange monster. We should start a what's your trucks name thread. I'd be interested to see all cool/funny names..haha

rather cantankerous personalities if I might add, mine has been called a few things since I've had her, orange truck, red truck, b!tch (usualy only when she misbehaved), for a while she was anna, currently called shelby (has been for about a yearish now) if it sticks who knows but having something to call her definitely seems to help.

Coopdog76, welcome!

You did the right thing apologizing for this whole ordeal. This being the Internet, it would have been easier just to disappear and never speak a word of it. Yet you stepped up and did the right thing, and that is admirable, in my eyes. The folks here are darn good people and are always helpful and respectful. If you start a build thread, they will come in and answer any questions you might have.

As for your truck, it looks way better now than mine did, and it took me half a year to get it looking like yours. I will be painting mine and finishing it up soon, after around 9 months of hard work. If you keep at it, you can save money and end up with something you will be proud of.

I agree, my truck is Pepe the pick up. Yes corny I know. My truck has become very sentimental to me since I got married in it 3 months ago. I just got its painted and all the rubber seals replaced before my wedding. However, I budgeted and planned and I will have a build thread up hopefully by the end of the summer with all the progress I have done on my truck. 347 stroker, long tube headers, A/C, 4r70w transmission that I am having rebuilt from the junkyard as we speak and last but not least Updated lighting and HID conversion. I plan to get all this done now before my wife and I have kids so I got to act fast! One plus for me is my truck was running and driving when I bought it.
