Truck looks great - What wheels are those? Are they 15's or 16's. That's look I want on my truck. I currently have the full dog dish hubcaps on 15 inchers
Truck looks killer! Give that baby a CLR/water bath with a Scotch Brite pad to the rusty areas. Then a the whole truck a nice coat of boiled linseed oil
Guitar truck: They are oem ford 15x7.5" off a 92-96 f150. You can usually find them on Craigslist.
Gahighrider: Does the linseed oil preserve the look? The only rust is on the roof so I'd like to do something there to prevent it from getting worse. Otherwise it's only down to the primer.
Update: I drove the truck for the first time tonight since redoing the trans. I had some issues getting it to shift but I have it going into 2nd and drive but it would not go into od. I kept the stock linkage TV set up and made it work with the sonnax correction arm. I'm going to stop at the shop that rebuilt it tomorrow and ask them.
Oh and after replacing the calipers and wheel cylinders and bleeding the brakes the master cylinder decides to blow out on my lol.
Also I have most of the interior back in. Here are some before shots. I'll get the after pics when its we get it finished and cleaned up
Ok it's been a little while since I updated this. First off I missed the ocean city, MD cruise weekend bc I attempted to install a Dorman turn signal cam repair and it has been a mess ever since. I'm still fighting issues even after installing a new, aftermarket tss so I ordered a nos switch from eBay and I'm waiting for that to come in.
I got the interior all in and buttoned up. It looked great at first but the red colorbond we sprayed the seat with wore off where you sit. I emailed the company and they told me it will work so I may need to go a different direction with the seat. Also the brand new door panels from LMC truck cracked on the front top corner of both sides when installing them. I'm not happy about that and emailed them to send back for a refund. They fit bad in general. A lot of the push clips don't even line up to the holes in the door.
I thought I had a pic of he interior but I can't find it. Here is a pic from last night at my local track.
I attempted to install my drag wheels off my 96 f150 but apparently the bed flares out more on the newer trucks. So the lip of the bed basically sat on the tire. We also buffed out the paint to a nice patina shine. I still need to clr the roof and linseed oil it. Here is some pics before I took he wheels back off.
I still need to get an updates pic of the interior.

Legit my favorite picture of a bullnose ever in the history of my life
Thanks guys. I really haven't done much lately. I installed a new Quick Fuel slayer 600 carb which helped immensely with drivability. Other then that my gf has been cruising it on a regular basis. I've been really busy doing a frame off on my 79 f100 bbf street/strip truck. Once that's done I'll be making some changes the 85.
Don't be too critical on the engine bay lol. I only bought the truck for the body but the motor actually ran really good so some detailing is in order.
so you did a 5 inch over all in the front? how was the alignment/ tire ware?
Yes 5". I only aligned toe in with a tape measure in my driveway so I'm sure tire wear isn't great. But my 96 aligned perfect with the same coils and beams. A real alignment with accentrics is on the list lol

I like the dirt and grease. Of course I'' a fan of rat rod style things and being different. If it works good, the dirt and grease just add character. In my opinion anyway
