It was very kind of ford though to let a 3 year old with a box of crayons design the rear fenders on the dually.

They look a heck of a lot better than the farm implement DRW fenders on the current gen. I LOVE them and think they are a HUGE improvement.

I like the new fenders and think they are a huge improvement over the rounded ones on the current generation.

Nothing wrong with them. Conservative design that matches the design of the rest of the truck.

These new fenders are sharp as if they are sculpted to match the vehicle. They don't appear to protrude unduly and out of balance with the front of the vehicle like those of the current generation. I almost pulled the trigger on the duals but want was greater than need. I never would have considered it on the older style which appeared disproportionate unless loaded with a trailer or camper which duplicated the side stance.

Maybe its just me.
Looks like a box welded on after the truck was built to my eyes.
But seems I'm the minority.
Glad you all like them.

To me, the two separate sections (round and square) of the fenders fool they eye and make the fender look narrower than it is really is.

I don't care for duallys but I think the fenders look better on these than previous models.

I'm not a huge dually fan but this does look like an improvement to me. I do like it better than the previous generation for sure

X-plan pricing

Mine offered to do this for me.

As to price, the easiest way to get a good deal on a hot redesigned model is to get an X-Plan pin. Sometimes you can get Ford employees on the forums to give them out. I have found it much easier to just join EAA.... Experimental Aircraft Association. As a Ford partner, their members can generate their own X-Plan pins. It's only $40 a year and is a VERY easy way to get your X-Plan pin without searching and begging. Supposedly, you have to be a member of the EAA for 60 days before you can generate a pin. However, the last time I bought a truck in 2012 I was able to generate my PIN immediately after joining. I'm not sure if this is still the case so if you plan to go this route, I'd join now to ensure you can generate one before your truck comes in.

X-Plan is .4% under invoice and limits the doc fees a dealer can charge to $100. Current rebates also apply but if you are ordering as soon as they are available, rebates likely won't be offered.

Here are all the details of the X-Plan: https://www.fordpartner.com/partnerw...tner_rules.htm

Here is the EAA: https://www.eaa.org/eaa
X-Plan pricing is also available for Ford stock holders. Once you have 100 shares of Ford (F) stock for 6 months you can get a pin # for X-Plan pricing. It takes less than a week by email to get your # by scanning stock ownership proof with your emailed application. Pin # is good for 12 months and 2 pin #s max per year.
