So my problem today is a starting problem. Whenever I try to start the truck when it's warm does a weird choke while it's turning over. I don't know if it's a battery issue or a starter issue or something of the sort but it has stranded me a couple times because I don't have that great of a battery and I can only crank over so many times before it dies. I have a video to show what it sounds like. It's been worse than this but this is a good example of what happens. Let me know what you think. Thanks guys.
sounds like a battery issue to me stop by an auto parts store they usually test them for free, and(dundundun) they usually have new ones if yours checks out craptacular. could be a weak starter too but my money is the battery is getting ready to go **** up
also howdy from a little farther up 97.

Clean all connections real well, X2 on timing ck. Ford trucks have to have a 100 % battery.
Future references, keep track of the warranty date on your battery and trade it in when it is about up. Nothing like a free new batttery every 2.99 years, so I hear anyway?

depending on the warranty you may have to deadify it leaving your direct wired driving lights on overnight should do it, at least thats what i'm told.....
If the starter and battery ground cables, battery to solenoid cables, etc, are original do yourself a favor and replace them with new. They act more like resistors when they get old. This will choke off the starter (and the alternator, heater blower, lights, ignition...) Your battery thanks you too. Starters aren't rated for continuous duty by any stretch they need several minutes cool down between attempts, if you want them to last anyway.
