oem chip
would anyone know where I might be able to get the oem PMT2 chip that comes in the 2001 PSD? Awhile back I I put in the Banks stinger. When I changed the chip I made sure that I kept the stock chip and put it in a safe (well, I thought it was) place. Went to get it today and the box was empty! Anyone have any idea's?

The aftermarket chips plug into the service port and override the stock EEPROM. There is no stock chip that can be taken out. If you remember taking one out and putting in a safe place.... must have been some potent drugs.

When I got my superchip, one of the settings was for the factory settings. The code is on your computer box, and in your manual. Once they have that code, they can burn it on an EProm (erasable programmable read only memory) for you. Blank Eproms are available relatively cleaply. Contact a seller of performance chips and they can direct you. At least that is what the store told me (4 wheel parts.com)

thanks fella's but Kens right. Had to have had some potent drugs that day! For some reason I was thinking of my other truck that I switched chips in. Bad thing is I spent a day looking for it. Talk about feeling stupid!
Guess the wife is right. I REALLY need to take a day off!
