Yes. The information you read from the PCM's internal memory has the PATS information one would need to program into the calibration on the chip. The Hydra SHOULD take care of this on its own but in your case it's not doing that......so the information needs to be put on the chip instead of bypassing to the default bank in the PCM for the PATS information. Do you know what code is causing the SES light to illuminate? I'm sure it's not chip related at this point but I'd like to know if you can get me that information too.
I don't work for PHP, but I want you to be happy with your purchase as I believe the Hydra is simply remarkable for the price and the features.
The sooner I get your information, the sooner I can send you a calibration to try and fix the problems you're having.
I need the ECU calibration that you read from the PCM and the Hydra serial number (from the lower right corner of the HydraFlash window when the chip is connected) which is an 8-digit mix of letters and numbers.
Thanks so much for your help, i did not know excursions were such a problem. As soon as I can get you that I will, my truck is hooked up to my camper in the back yard so my kids can sleep in it tonight and I have no wifi where it is

Cody,
Is this something programmed into the Hydra Chip or each individual tune? Could John (ExPaCamper) and I jump along with this as well?
When I had the 6 pos TS chip & PMT1 PCM I didn't get the theft light, but after installing the Hydra I did. I'm probably doing something wrong but I remember selecting PATS compatible mode or something like that when copying the tunes to my chip.
Joe28443 - my theft like act like this:
continuous flashing for 1 minute
then for the next 2 minutes if flashed a code - 1 flash then 6
IIRC it means a communications fault with the PATS, but after that the light goes out.
Edit: The Hydra is a great platform & product - follow Cody's lead and all will be well and you'll be glad you bought it.
I'm hoping cody can get it worked out or I bought something for nothing. As soon as I am able to get my truck closer to my house where I can get online I will be sending him what he needs. I am not sure if mine will cut off after a minute or not, I know my SES light is on so that might be another issue

I don't think you need to be online to get the info you need from the Hydra. Only if you are downloading tunes. I also have one in my Excursion as do many others. It will work - just need to figure out what your's is seeing or not seeing.
Do you have a way to read trouble codes to see what is causing the SES light?
I would double check the tunes you downloaded to make sure the hex codes match, I've made that mistake before.
