Hi, i have a 2000 ford E250 that the blower motor blows on high no matter where the fan selector **** is . I have changed the Blower motor switch and pigtail and the resistor and pigtail. Blower motor still runs on high no mater if the selector **** is on low or Med . Still runs on high speed. Don't know where else to check for the problem. Thnx Dave
The heater works great the A/C works good. Vents and defrost to floor all are working. But what ever i do it will not run but on high no matter if i set the fan control to low or any other position. Has ne stumped as what or how to check out the problem. Thnx Dave

Almost has to be a wiring short somewhere? Can you ring the switch wires to look for shorts between them and to ground? jim
Not to cut in front of Jim. His logic line seems really solid, worth looking into.
However, reading through my first thought was the dash selector switch needs to be replaced. It may be a short in the selector itself. A working junkyard component is easy to remove and pretty cheap as far as repair costs go. I hope my suggestion isn't too foreword, but thats right where I'd start.
If the problem persists then I would grab my multi-meter and go-to-town on the harness items leading to the motor.
Thnx for the reply. The selector switch meaning the switch that controls where the air is coming out ( example, vent or floor or defrost). If so isn't that vacuum controlled.. Have changed the fan selector switch and pigtail.. Multimeter is going to be next move.
Correct, but the selector that controls the fan speed is just copper contacts. 16 years of fan speed selection is a lot on those little copper/brass contacts.
The "Hi" selection is also the least used of the lot as well.
Jim.. not sure what you mean by ring the switch wires. Thnx Dave
Oops, sorry, I meant to ohm out the wiring from the switch to see if the wiring was shorting to ground somewhere. The speed switch completes a ground to the resistor pack and on hi speed, directly to the motor. Power is applied to the motor with a relay as soon as the control is moved out of the OFF position. There are several diagrams here on the site, a search should find one easily. jim
Kinda new at this. Tried to find a diagram on the wiring , but can't seem to find any diagrams. I must be searching in the wrong area. Is there a area that i should look in ?? Thnx dave

You'll have to pick one that matches your setup best. Here's the link I used (if it works?):
