After watching several you tube videos and studying how the connector released, I decided a few layers of skin was a reasonable sacrifice to avoid a trip to a mechanic. WHat was confusing me was the wiring harness has a clip that attaches to the frame rail. Once I got a better look I got it done and the truck is 100% for the first time in a few months.
