Hey folks, please take a look at the image. Starting with a D. Carpenter "Lower Hinge Pillar Repair Panel, 1961- 66" my intention is to repair this area (using metal and welding) on my '66 F-100. Could I get some opinions on viability please?
Life is good, today my service provider, Yaahoo is allowing me access to my Bookmarks. es2rider posted a thread, w/ pic's a few years back, not sure if any help but may show with welding and refab skills anything is possible? Also bookmarked thread on bed replacement.

All doable if you have the time and the want to. It's a lot of work. The worst part is having to grind all those welds after it's done. These are pictures of some of the repairs I've done so far. I would highly recommend that you pull the cab and flip it on it's back. And if you decide you need to swap cabs it's gotta come off anyway.
Thought I should post a couple of more pictures to show that there is light at the end of the tunnel. I took the cab off the frame around the end of August, big rusty holes and homemade cab mounts. I finished the repairs and had it blasted in November and parked it for the winter.
