Ive spent the last few days doing research on how to get my pump to stop whining. Its installed on a F250 96 5.8l. It was a reman from autozone. Now ive been reading about saginaw pumps and friction modifier and synthetic fluid and all the works. now i like the saginaw pump idea and i found this on Rockauto.com. 1995 FORD E-150 5.8L V8 Power Steering Pump | RockAuto
A-1 CARDONE 207878F {#E2UZ3A674A} Reman. w/ Reservoir; Does Not Include Reservoir Cap Info One of our most popular parts
w/Aftermarket Magna Pure filtration
is that what i need? Is that what they are calling the saginaw pump? Will this bolt right in or do i need the bracket also?
Thanks in advance for your help. The whining only started when i threw on 35x15 BFGs.
I also read that they dont make a pulley for this with the correct diameter shaft or something. Where would i get the correct pulley?

Id say if it aint broke don't fix it. I changed the fluid in mine. I assume the pump is stock. Has a nice whine to it still. Not worth buying a new pump and the labor just to get rid of the noise. After all, these aren't 2016 f150 aluminum body eco boosts. They make weird noises
I got one from eBay. I found someone selling the pump for a van, emailed him asking how much to include the brackets, I got the whole deal for $75 shipped.
