also any thoughts on fuel tanks? I'd like to not have to use the in the bed type. has anyone used the rear tank from aero tanks? I came across some older posts with them just thought I'd see about a fresh opinion. I like the thought of that tank for capacity and not loosing bed space, but if it's crap I'd like to know before I drop over 500 bones.....

Also what are you guys doing for air intakes? Factory dodge or something else?
Yeah, this forum rules. Which part of the intake are you talking about? From the filter to the turbo? Or from intercooler to engine?

I used a Jazz fuel cell in my highboy build. It took a good bit of crossmember modification but came out real nice IMO.

I was just looking at the thread and cant believe I was building that truck back in 2010. I feel like I just installed that tank. Where did the time go? Haha

I'm running a bunch of 304 stainless mandrel bends. 4" 90° bend from a BHAF to my turbo, 3" 45° bed from turbo outlet to ~'99 Superduty intercooler, and another from the intercooler to a Pusher intake.

It is a 22gallon tank.
When you do get/build a fuel tank, make sure to get a 70/10 ohm sending unit so it works with the factory fuel gauge.

I did do a fair amount of modification. You can get away with less, but I like things to look like they could have come from the factory that way. Here's what I did:

I've been reading your build thread quite a bit, along with others threads. I figure the more i look at how others have done theirs the easier mine will be...maybe.

The one reason I did not go with the aero tank is it is steel. If it was stainless I would have bit on it. Diesel has water in it so rust is a big issue with steel tanks. Also there is no provision for a sump. Diesel sloshing out of the lift pump pick up is also a concern here. You don't want to go around a corner and loose suction. I had a problem with that when I first converted my fuel tank tool box. Installing a sump cured my problem.

My air filter setup is on this page.

https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...burner-78.html

If you need the part number for the filter just let me know. The only modification I made to it was to slip a piece of stainless 4" exhaust inside the inlet of the filter to keep the factory inlet tube and hose clamp from crushing the filter.

thank you for the info on that, theres a guy here locally that runs a weld shop and makes stainless tanks for the local fd maybe i'll do some sniffing and see if he's up to making a fuel tank...

Well that depends what you want to do with the engine.
If you want stock power and best fuel mileage the 93 will work fine for you with the rotary pump.

If you do want to build big power later on, you should hold out for a p-pump model engine.
