Hi Guys. Auto trans. The Overdrive light flashes on the Selector lever. Never stops.I put tape over it because it is annoying. Especially at night.
It goes into overdrive no problem.
A Couple of times it did not flash and was stuck in first till I manually shifted. Then the light started flashing again and works normal.
What now......RPM Sensor?
Mine did this as well and would not shift into 4th. Tore it down and overdrive clutches were burnt up, Front bolt loose that holds center section, torque converter was toast, metal in valve body was sticking the valves, etc....... Not what you wanted to hear but pull it down before it lets you down.
Get the codes read! It could be a sticking valve, solenoid, sensor, or wiring problem. I wouldn't neglect it. Get it checked out. It might leave you walking.

Yepper, Only thing is I don't have 2 nickles to rub together. I understand I may make matters worse. As my luck goes, That will most likely happen
