broken climate control knobs

broken climate control *****
hi folks, '93 F-150 XLT here. two of my climate control ***** are now detached and resting in the glove compartment. one was there when i bought the truck, one i broke off and added. the leftmost control, for the fan, still works. what caused the other two to break, and which parts do i need to replace?

Cheap plastic. They just break eventually. If you're looking for an exact match, google or a junkyard. If you don't care, local auto parts store probably has aftermarket replacements that fit right onto the metal studs you can now see.
