Sometimes the WTS light does not come on either cold start or on warm up start. Sometimes when driving engine will quit running, when tried to restart the WTS light did not come on, and truck would not start. Waited a few minutes and the WTS light would come on and truck would restart, changed CPS year ago with Ford Blue one. Need to drive on a 2,000 mile trip coming up but need to fix problem before any ideas? thanks

Welcome to FTE!

Does your truck have a performance chip installed?

Well, it sounds like a wire is shorting something out, or loosing connection somewhere. But when a wire shorts out, a fuse usually blows. No WTS means the PCM has no power. Will the truck still crank after it shuts off even though it won't start?

Any way to pull a code or stored codes, seems like truck will reset itself.

Do you still have the fuel bowl heater? It was reported the other day that it could short out, without blowing the #22 fuse. If the heater shorts it will kill the engine, and usually the fuse will pop, and a no start is the result. It might be worth your time to take a look at that heater, and see if the element has come loose from the mounting disc. If it is bad, you can just unplug the electrical wire. I unplugged the wire from the inside of the bowl.
