I'm at the point where I'm going to be doing some chassis work with some final finish to do. I am going to powdercoat the frame and chassis and was thinking about color, either black or silver. I have seem pictures of both and like either one. Semi-gloss black or semi-gloss silver? The silver would make it less dark under the fenders when working on the brakes.
What color have you guys used and why? Don't be afraid to express your opinions. Thanks ahead of time for your help.
My Dad would have suggested "sky blue pink", his token answer to any "what color" question. Ask the guy at your local mini-lube...he's the one who will see it most often.
I doubt the frame color will have any impact on the available light when doing brake work - the inside of the fenders being the bigger factor. The frame color is completely personal preference as you'll notice it way beyond anyone else. Black is classic. If the silver will better complement your base color, go for it. Just pick a color that looks good dirty.
Just ask yourself what color you want, it is your truck! I built a 40 Ford woodie for a client and he wanted purple powder coat. It looked just fine...
