Could somebody check their turbo top pipe for play

I would really appreciate if somebody today could go out and grab the top pipe steel well at least it is on the 2016 going into the cooler and see if there's excessive play, or is it tight mine seems to be shaking back and forth really too much think I'm losing some pressure just happened today on a big trip no lights came on the truck just curious if that's normal thanks again.

I've seen some play in general, not specific to the 2016's at all. My '11 was fairly tight, but my buddy's '11 was fairly loose and still is with no issues. I'd take it in and have it checked as I can't think of a way to explain to you accurately how much is too much. Dealer can check it pretty easily and quickly.

my 13 is pretty tight. Just a little movement at the boot to be flexible enough for motor movement.

and back towards Turbo not side to side.

no...workin the turbo wheel over is always a possibility with dirty air. Most likey not in this case but you can see where this pipe issue could lead too.

I doubt it if you have had the occur so far.

Can't dust the turbo with cooler pipe leaks. Cooler pipes are after the turbo.
Can't dust anything ... just lose boost

No the cooler pipes are at positive pressure.

Good to know. Didn't pay to much attention to the routing but makes sense.

There not going to route the cooler before the turbo

OP if you are checking it when it is hot it is going to move some. The joints heat up and are a bit more flexible. I have never really tugged on mine but it does move, it has a flexible joint at each end. The line runs at boost pressure so you should be able to tell if it's leaking. If you are losing boost it is leaking but I doubt you have any issues. You would know if you did.

This is the fitting at the throttle body (the other pipe) ... if it's leaking it will usually turn into something like this pretty quick ....

(This is from when H&S used to run the higher boost numbers (38 PSI), not from my truck)

Thanks for all the responses stop by the dealer tonight the pipe was definitely loose apparently there's some spring tension at the bottom but as you stated in one of the reply not crucial just causing some boost loss all fixed thanks again everybody. I'm just curious why didn't throw a code you just feel there was a loss of power I figured the computer would have picked up on it oh well all's back to good thanks again
