Well I can't continue to put money in the truck. Just wondering what I should ask for and how much to expect to get. 79 F150 custom 300 6 cyl. Compression rings need to be replaced. Which is the reason for selling. I hate to see it go.
Brian, think some more info would be helpful - what transmission, what ratio diff, brand of diff if known, mileage, AC or not, what else have you done to it, are you saying compression rings due to a compression test or ??...without knowing any of that I am thinking it's a few-hundred-dollar truck just due to lack of info. At this point any estimate is a guess.
X2 on some more info is needed to give you a decent suggestion. Looks like rust on the dvrs side cab drip rail? Missing RD on the hood, back bumper is twisted. Looks like maybe a rust spot of something on the bottom of the dvrs side door, just above the bottom trim?
79 2wd LB twin tanks with a 6 cyl that needs rings, but the body looks to be in good shape maybe, thin dent trim...$ 800 or 1200? Who knows, I am guessing.
Put it on there and start high and then come down to what ever amount you can live with, good luck.
