My 2013 F-250 diesel came with the easy entry/exit feature. For the first 2 1/2 years, the seats moved forward as soon as I inserted the key. Now they are intermittent. When I insert the key without turning it, the seats will sometimes move and sometimes not. If I touch or jiggle the key a bit, the seats move forward and back and the indicator lamps on the top gauge row flash.
My dealer says this is normal behavior. They even showed me another truck on the lot that does the same thing. What confuses me is that mine did not behave this way before.
Does anyone else have this problem? How does it behave in your truck?
The settings are correct and I can turn the feature on and off but it behaves as though the ignition switch is flaky. What happens if you insert your key and then move it slightly forward and back? (Not turning it, just gently moving the head of the key towards the dash and the rear.)
