Hydro Boost boiling over
I just recently acquired a basket case 1990 f450 rollback. I installed a 7.3 IDI 5 speed manual back into it which is what came out of it. It has the hydro boost braking system. Hence the problem. not sure what I have here, couldn't find a hand brake of any kind when i got the truck running so i mashed the brakes kinda hard well to my surprise they locked down and held the truck just like i had set the hand brake. Problem then is the power steering pump started making a surging noise and belched out foamed up power steering fluid. I hit the brake pedal again and it stopped and the brakes released. It does have trans fluid in there instead of normal power steering fluid. what have I got here anybody?
