Brake / Power Boost Issues

I am curious if anyone has experienced any strange sounds or issues with brake steering systems. Truck has roughly 30,000 miles so off to the dealer
tomorrow morning. The truck makes a strange sound when you put your foot on the brake and it is now making noises when you turn the wheel. The brake and steering system both work off the power booster so that may explain that. I also notice when driving once you apply the brake it seems to go down slightly then brakes are applied, unlike when truck was new. Thanks for any feedback or knowledge on this issue.

Have you checked your power steering fluid? Almost sounds like a low fluid condition to me. Of course the fluid doesn't go anywhere on its own, that would mean that it's leaking somewhere. Have you noticed any spots on the ground?

Brake issue

I have not checked yet but will do that shortly. I have not notied any leaks at all and do keep a close eye on that sort of thing.

Thanks,
Erik

power booster

Had the dealer look at it and discovered the booster has a slight leak. Hardly enough to see anything but they will replace under warranty tomorrow. This is the first thing to go and hopefully the last, for a while.
