fuel pump type 93 E150

I've searched thru this forum, and even consulted with a couple reps form online sales sites, but still confused on what fuel pump is right. I want order online and my van is still running, so really cant drop tank first.

Anyway, in hopes someone else just went through this, I need a fuel pump for my 1993 E150 base cargo with 4.9L. It's got a 36 gallon tank that runs along the length of vehicle underneath nearer to the drivers side (which I guess is called a center, or mid-ship, tank). I need it to fit in the factory original assembly.

From my searches I'm coming up with either Airtex E2521, or Delphi FE0482; but then other sites tell me those are not right. i think the confusion comes from the fact that there are many tank configurations for this van, all with different pump reqts.

Any advice on this? Or recommendations for a quality pump that will fit right?

Thanks!

Have you called ford yet? I haven't came across a e150 with a 36gal tank.
I saw a cutaway that had one..

I don't know if the pump would care how many gallons the tank holds, but the sending unit would.

But here is a site I often use for part number references and couldn't find your pump... Do you think someone might have added the tank?

Thanks. I really dont know exact size, but i have put 20 gallons in it, and it just goes to half way. But yeah, I guess calling ford with VIN would be one way to find out.

from what I am finding out, there are ones with 2 outlets and ones with 3 outlets. There is probably no way to find out without dropping the tank..

If you call ford and give them the vin, perhaps they can tell you..

hopefully it would be this one
