Sorry to revive a dead post but was there ever a solution to this issue? I have a 2001 Expedition 2WD with air ride (rear only) with the same exact issue after replacing working air suspension components. I am getting an intermittent "Check Suspension" light and I don't believe my truck is going into kneel mode now when I park.

you need a tool that can read/clear c codes. once the codes are cleared, then the VDM/4was module needs to be calibrated to get rid of a c1991 code. Perform the pneumatic test to calibrate the module.
