I solved my challenge i believe with the custom PIDS. I wasn't able to leave the header blank, I had to insert the CF40F1 in order to make it work. I don't know if I didn't read correctly that this had to be done or had just missed it, but now they seem to be working!
I found that I too could not leave the header blank. I have them all set to Auto except Barometer and Transmission Fluid Temperature, I had to set those to C410F1.
As far as the Long Name, ALL of mine start with A - and then the normal name to group them together. I have never had an issue naming the long name whatever I wanted to name it.
Got it all working including EOT using the A- prior to the long name. Only challenge now is that both my EOT and TFT are giving weird negative temp readings -25.8 TFT and -42.6 EOT at warmed idle. Checked the equations and they are correct - anyone else have this challenge?

That's the drawback with Torque Pro: The slightest little typo will do anything from not give data, to giving the wrong data... to stalling the truck. Saying that... once it's dialed in, its a very nice addition to the dash.
I'm sure there is... but I regret that I have been remiss at looking into it. If somebody wants to point to the procedure, I can take a few minutes and give it a shot.
I have never done this. I have an Android tablet that I have moved the TP files around and manually edited my settings, but I do this by using a file explorer app. I remember trying import and export features without much luck, but that was many upgrades ago... so I don't know if this was resolved.
If it's Torque Pro and you actually purchased it through the Google Play store, simply logging into your new phone (assuming same Google login ID), you will have the option of reinstalling every app you've previously purchased through Google onto your new phone, if they're compatible. Same thing for Amazon AppStore apps as well. It's the custom PID's you may have created that you'll need to reinstall yourself.
Transfer... as from the old phone to the new? That won't reliably work. You need to log into Google Play and do a fresh install with your login. It should not charge you if the old TP was in your name.
