I have the BD Diesel set up on there now. From what I can tell they have removed the original breather box (dog house?) and installed one for this kit. The bolts have definitely been over tightened and set in deep enough I could barely get a socket on them.
Would I need to find a factory box to put back on there?
Not sure where the 90 degree hose comes into play either?
I will need to look in the spare parts box that came with the truck. Previous owner was pretty good about keeping the stock parts he was replacing.
So after seeing the 90 degree hose I have an idea why the oil consumption is reduced with the stock configuration. Maybe I'm all wet here but it would seem that the vertical path of the hose would cause any droplets to remain in the valve cover whereas in the collection set up it runs down into the catch can.
