Why thank you. It is a pretty good morning as well! Too bad I left my ignition on in my Bronco... I left the charger on at 2 amps thinking I'd slow charge the batteries overnight..... oh well, I'll just have to wait a little longer to test things out.
Haha yeah... I don't know for sure, but it seems that charging at 20amps is considered safe for batteries. So, I hooked up the other battery charger and threw it on the passenger side battery. I have both charging at 10 amps now so hopefully I can test start the truck in an hour or so.
Well turns out on the diesel generator the fuel pump is what is bad. The first dad will order that and wait forever (coming from china since it is a Chinese diesel engine) and once that is in we will be able to start welding again. Got a huge list of items that need welding but haven't been able to do it with the generator down.
On top of that brothers and dad are building a little add on to store some of our tools so that they are out of the way I can pull my bronco's engine and start disassembly.

I generally don't charge unless using 10 or more amps myself.
If its low enough to need charging I don't think 10 amps will hurt it.
Think of the output of an alternator on a modern vehicle.
70 amps is considered small now.
Trav that sucks but at least its ordered.
What brand is the engine?
Weifang or some weird name like that. I never heard of them before I was hoping the engine would be a Kubota or cummins something I know more about but oh well.
The engine has less then 10 hours on it so it sitting forever ruined the seal. We got it to start by bypassing the pump for a little bit but was getting to much fuel otherwise it sounded great.
Trav
Ya usually that is the case but at $600 for a $2K generator the way it sits couldn't resist plus so far it is easier to find parts for then our Generac gas generator that has been a pain in the rear.
Same with my case tractor a pain to find parts for it.
I just can't wait to get that gen back together so I can start working on my bronco.
Trav
Ya I would have loved to have gotten a John Deere as that is the tractor I first learned to operate but another case where It was extremely cheap $2500 for a construction sized backhoe is a steal till me and dad blew the engine up.
