Hi guys this is my moms truck. 06 f150 5.4 188k miles.
It has a intermittent no start usually when cold or after a short trip (5mins). Every now and then it'll do it after a decent drive. When it won't start if you let it sit for 30mins to a hour it'll fire up. I've run my scan tool and get no codes. I've swapped fuel pump relay thinking relay was going south. Now I'm at a dead end and any help would be much appreciated.
Hi Mike
Im assuming it cranks, sometimes the CPS O ring deteriorates and gives false readings and wont allow it to start. Have you tryed live data on it yet?
No I haven't. I haven't had time working 70hrs a week. The time I did have I spent pulling the fuse box out the kick so my little brother could do the soldering job to change out the fuel pump relay since some azz clown at Ford decided to soldier it to the board. This Sunday I planed on putting it back on the AE to check fuel psi. Guess I'll add cps to the list
