AOD Dipstick Reading/Fill Level?

AOD Dipstick Reading/Fill Level?
I recently had to change the radiator twice on my 89 Bronco 5.0 with AOD (first replacement was defective) and of course, lost ATF from the transmission cooler. My truck didn't come with an owners' manual and it has been quite a while since I last had an AOD truck. I did remember the AOD pre-level-check requirements to drive it until it was warmed up and then check the level in park. Not surprisingly, my fluid level was low. On the dipstick, the fluid level was just at the lower of the two holes.
My question is this - with the fluid level at the lower hole, how much do I need to add to bring it up to the upper 'correct hot level' hole? I can't remember if it was a pint or a quart (or more?) on this year/model with the AOD. Thanks.

My understanding has always been that it's 1 quart between min and max unless otherwise stated on the dipstick.
Think about how much area there is in a transmission pan, and the amount of space you need to take up. 1 pint isn't going to do too much.
Starting at 1 pint will get you there either though, i guess.
