AOD Fluid capacity

Can anyone tell me what the TOTAL fluid capacity would be for an AOD that came from a 1991 Crown Vic. This tranny is for my truck; it seems to have a little smaller converter than the 4R70W that came out but basically it's the same without the electronics. The tranny was totally empty as well as the converter. Can I just use the dipstick from the 4R70W?

One of the books I have says 10 Litres including the torque converter. I couldnt tell ya what that is in quarts but its something. As for the dipstick I would just find a AOD dipstick.

try 3 gal but start to check after 2 gal and find a aod dipstick
