Alright so here he is, it's a 1976 F-250 Supercab Ranger XLT 2wd, 460/C6. All original metal and paint, lived in Alberta all its life. The engine has been rebuilt, mild cam, bored 40 over, machined crank, flat top Pistons, performer intake and Edelbrock 750 carb, new valves lifters timing gear and chain(yeah, he's all motor haha!) breathing out of Hedman headers and a full high flow exhaust system. It never gets old rolling through town nice and slow, to pull up beside some guy in a cool ride at a red light, wait til it turns green and just walk all over "em haha!
Before the shiny new boots, the original split rims and old bias ply tires.
Original trailer brake controller, still works great!
Looks a little faster without the topper and color co-ordinated flower curtains haha
Nice looking truck. Love that old brake controller. Forgot what they even looked like.
I believe the spikey things are for a grill cover. Reduces air flow to the radiator in cold weather to allow the engine to warm up to operating temperature.
Thanks guys, yes that's right about the "spiky things" I think that's the technical term haha unfortunately the grille bug screen and winter front have been lost in time, but one day I'll get an upholsterer to make up a new set.
Thanks axidjw! I think I have the engine buttoned up just the way I want it for now, I may start in on the transmission next, towing a 33ft travel trailer with that extra power from the engine may warrant a little "beefing up" of the transmission. Any suggestions on that topic?
Take care of that camper top. It's a deluxe topper. Some people collect those.
It's definitely handy and in nice shape, a little faded and mold-spotted on the rooftop, a guy could probably use a good RV roof cleaner on something like that hey?
