have a 78 F150 351M and C-6 tranny , have just put on the 4th new switch in roughly two years. the ones from the auto parts stores keep pulling apart since the metal case doesn't have any dog ears to hold the plastic assembly in place so it pulls apart and results in no start. Does any one have a picture of the original switch to see if any difference, also anyone have a original Ford switch - new old stock - for sale.... thank you all
yes it fits over the rod on the tranny and wires go up next to the A/C were the harness plugs in , had a 77 F250 - the switch was on the bottom of the steering column, easy and simple to replace
