Hope I can explain this well enough for you guys.
Background: 1977 460 and C6 from Grand Marquis installed in 1980 F-100.
Problem: The C6 has no neutral safety switch that I can see. Was it a different switch in a different place on these cars? The Transmission has bolt holes that would fit the switch, because I tried to put the switch off the old C4, but the linkage it fits around is smooth. The linkage on the 1980 C4 has grooves that fit the grooves in the switch, allowing the switch to function.
I could probably bypass the switch so I can start it in any gear, but it also controls my reverse lights. I would rather figure this out. What do I need to know about this late 70's passinger car c6?
Thanks in advance for the help.

Ok, Apparently after some reading through old archives I found the 77 and earlier transmissions did not come with the switch mounted to the case. I believe it was a different switch installed on the column. Does anyone know if I can wire it onto my column or is there ways around this problem?
