Neutral Safety switch off 79 F-100
I replaced the safety switch on my 79 and I think i'm missing something. The truck has a 390 in it with an automatic and the stem coming out of the tranny that the neutral safety switch mounts to is perfectly round with no groves. The neutral safety switch has two bumps on it to fit into groves and also a split in the ring. Did they have a washer or something that fits over or mounts onto the shaft that would go onto this to fit in the groove or something? I figured if anyone would know it would be on here.
