Poor radio reception

Yes I do still listen to AM radio. The AM reception in my 2016 Fusion is way better than in my wife's 2013 Explorer. In general, how is the radio reception in your Explorers? Is there a good way (i.e. Inexpensive, quick, easy) to improve the reception? Thanks

we too have fading in and oit sometimes, but not botnersome enough to take it in and, yes, we too listen to am a lot !
me thinks the issue is the lil antenna and have seen some that replaced the antenna

No problems with my AM. I live in a urban area of 1 mill people.

Fading in and out is a characteristic of AM reception itself and not an indication of a problem with the radio.
