Can someone tell me which side the pressure hose from the steeringpump goes to on the hydro boost.
I doubt I got them backwards but just in case.. changing hoses should be such a simple job.
It's either that or I got a bunch of air in the system somewhere ...
Thanks in advance
If it stops pouring rain, I'll take some pictures. Otherwise I'm useless at this point. While I've replaced the hoses in question, I did them one at a time to avoid the exact issue I believe you seem to be facing...
It's gonna be pouring for a while it looks like... Razzi had a 7.3 partially torn down in his driveway though. @Toreador_Diesel, could you hook a brother up with some pics of the hydroboost lines?
PROBLEM SOLVED, THE HYDRO BOOST HOSES ARE "NOT" REVERSIBLE.
I couldn't find the ptfe seals to replace the ones on the new hoses BUT I did find some 1/2 x 3/32 O rings in my plumbing box, they just barely fit inside the female half of the fitting, no leaks on test. I also put a micro drop of anti seize on the threads just incase I tear it apart again.
AND
the pulsing brake and steering is all gone.
I hang my head in shame for not paying better attention....

Too late, since I just now got to this, but I do remember what happens when they fail. Don't we Matt....
