hi everyone. my wipers do work, but when they are at the top of their stroke there's a buzzing through the speakers. even with the radio off it makes noise. i'm thinking a ground problem but it's a little wet and cold up here till next weekend to tear the dash apart. any ideas what else it could be. the truck was rewired 7 years ago with the ezwire kit, so hopefully it will be fairly easy to track down.thanks

Without a circuit tester and actual digging, I don't know how you would find out. The power goes to the motor then to the switch. Could be ground, motor, switch, hard to say from down here in NC.
Wiper failure is not something that comes up often on the forms.
It sounds to me like the motor is stuck from a heavy load and arcing at the brushes.
Maybe try crawling under the dash, wiping some grease on the articulation points and giving everything a little hand goose to get over the load spot.
Living in Baja, I do not use wipers much, as we only get about 7" of rain per year, but inactivity, or neglect, can be harder on mechanical/electrical things, than abuse. When I had a sticking wiper arm, I ended up having to pull both of the actuators out from under the dash, and found that one of them had a cracked housing, causing the wiper shaft to hang up. Since it is a cast part, welding was not an answer. But... JB Weld was, with some metal window screen wrapped around carefully, first. The metal screen reinforced the JB Weld, and it held until I could find a used replacement. It's actually, not that hard to pull the whole enchilada out, and you can lubricate it way easier with it removed... Good luck amigo...
