If you have the factory installed trailer tow package you have all the necessary wiring and connectors. However, you do not have an integrated brake controller. You need to buy and install one of your choosing. The built in trailer sway control uses the yaw sensors in the stability control system to HELP control trailer sway by applying selective braking to the vehicle. It has nothing to do with trailer brakes.
Sadly, the owners manual seems more interested in devoting over a hundred pages to the "gee whiz" features of the Nav and Infotainment system than it does to things like trailer towing.
Sweet, thanks guys. I checked the battery junction box and found all the relays and fuses already there. Looks like I just need to but the brake controller and the harness. :fork:
