One day I was driving through the dark woods with my hi-beams on and poof, no headlights. Super scary on this little one lane road.
My truck is an early 99, I see a lot of posts that say there is no relay. My owners manual doesn't list a hi-beam relay ( or at least I can't find it). But I have a Service Information CD and It does show one, junction C292.
Anybody know where this is located. Under the hood in the power dist block I rotated each of the like part number relays, didn't fix it.
I also have a two relay holder next to my power dist block and rotated those, no luck.
any idea where this can be?
Going to be going on a long road trip and would like to have high beams
Your diagram is showing a 15 amp fuse after the multi-function switch. It should be in the under dash fuse panel. If the fuse is not blown, check for power on both sides of the fuse. If you do not have power "to" the fuse, the problem may be in the multi-function switch, or its wiring/connections.
Well I didn't find the relay but I found my problem. The fuse holder is worn out not making good contact with the fuse. Bent the tabs a little and now they work.
This is the 3rd fuse **** that is loose. Time to find a replacement I think.
I see that now, I did check the fuse with a test light and had power on both sides so I stopped looking in this area for the problem. I just added another post that I found the problem. The fuse holder is loose.
thanks.
